Presently, there exists only a limited number of guidelines pertaining to Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS), as they have only been released by a few medical societies. Guideline From National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN)
- Soft Tissue Sarcoma, Version 2.2022, NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology
- Publication: July 2022
- Objective: The NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines) for STS address the management of STS in adult patients from the perspective of the following disease subtypes:
- STS of extremity, superficial/trunk, or head and neck
- Retroperitoneal or intra-abdominal STS
- Desmoid tumors (aggressive fibromatoses)
- Rhabdomyosarcoma
Guideline From American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO)
- Radiation Therapy for Treatment of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in Adults
- Publication: July 2021
- Objective: This guideline provides evidence-based recommendations addressing the indications for radiation therapy (RT), sequencing of local therapies, and appropriate dose and planning techniques for management of primary, operable, localized, soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in adults.
