Most common scoring system used to describe the level of consciousness in a person following a traumatic brain injury
Eye Opening Response
Opens eyes spontaneously

Opens eyes to verbal command, speech, or shout

Opens eyes to pain (not applied to face)

Does not open eyes in response to any stimulation

Is oriented to person, place, and time
