  • Topical steroids (cortisone applied to the skin) (prescription strength preferred)
  • Standard washing/skincare before and after treatment
  • Only in a clinical trial: aloe vera and oral curcumin
  • Not recommended: emu oil, calendula, nonsteroidal interventions
