SCAI’s Guidelines on Transcatheter Left Atrial Appendage Closure is Now Open for Public Comment
The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) has announced that the latest draft of the 2025 SCAI/HRS Clinical Practice Guidelines on Transcatheter Left Atrial Appendage Closure is now available for public comment.
SCAI and HRS have collaborated to conduct an original systematic review and develop rigorous multi-society left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) guidelines using the GRADE approach to provide evidence-based recommendations for 8 different clinical scenarios, including pre, intra, and post-procedural considerations. These evidence-based guidelines have been developed by SCAI to assist patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders in making informed decisions regarding LAAC treatment.
As part of the development process, SCAI welcomes reviews and feedback from the public. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their comments here by January 27, 2025. Please note that all comments must be completed in one sitting to ensure they are considered.
