In addition, due to their low lipid solubility and high protein binding, NSAIDs have limited transfer into breast milk (milk to plasma ratios <1). While transfer of NSAIDs to breast milk is low, this class of medications should be avoided in mothers with infants who have ductal-dependent cardiac lesions.
