Image-guided abscess and fluid drainage is a mainstay of a pediatric interventional radiology practice, and is the treatment of choice for many conditions. Children's small size has both advantages and disadvantages, and may require/allow for alteration of procedural techniques. Complications may be similar, but specific problems may be seen with different prevalence.
