This policy describes what information may be collected about you when you use the services of International Guideline Center, and its subsidiary, Guideline Central. Services are provided via the company website and through the use or purchase of mobile applications, whether from our website, iTunes, Google Play or any other avenue of purchase made available. These services may be in a variety of mediums and devices now known or developed at a later date including mobile applications. Upon leaving Guideline Central’s website or mobile application, we are not responsible for how other websites treat your personal/private information.

Changes in the Privacy Policy

If there is a significant change in the privacy policy regarding the services offered or how we handle your personally identifiable information, we will take steps to inform you of these changes. Minor changes, or those changes that do not significantly affect the services offered and how personable identifiable information is handled, will not carry notifications of the change. If a significant change is enacted, you will have the opportunity to opt out of the changes at the time of the implementation of the change.

Information We Collect

To experience the full complement of services offered, you will be required to register. Registration requires minimal personally identifiable information to be entered into our systems. Additional information is collected regarding how you use our services. Through the use of cookies, whether you have registered or not, we are able to track the type of browser you use, and the date and time of access to our system. Information we collect when you choose to register with us includes name, email address, zip code and possibly NPI and/or specialty where needed. We may then supplement this data with data received from various partners. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of Guideline Central visitors and users. Usage Data

The usage data we collect may include IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, and pattern of your service use. This usage data may be processed for purpose of analyzing the use of our website and app and is completed through cookies.

By registering for an account and providing us information such as name and email address, you are consenting us to process this information to operate our website, provide you our services, maintain our user database, and communicate with you about order-related purposes. You may also receive communications about promotions, new products, and updates, free/sponsored guideline titles and similar from our marketing team. Removing Your Data

Other than registration or email subscription data, all other personally identifiable information associated with platform usage may be stored for up to 26 months. To remove your data and delete your account permanently, send an email to support@guidelinecentral.com - and we will honor all requests and rights to opt-out and/or have your data removed in a frictionless manner.

Mobile Device Application

At the time of downloading the mobile app to your device we attach a random number to your installation. This number does not identify you personally or your personal information until you register with our services. This number only identifies the brand, make and model along with the type of operating software your phone uses.

Age of Registration Privacy

This site and service is intended for use by adults, and is not designed or intended for use by those individuals under the age of 18.

Security of Information

The security, technology, rules and other measures that have been implemented within the system protect your personal data. Unauthorized access, improper use, alteration or destruction, and accidental loss, along with requiring our employees to respect the confidentiality of your private information is the basis for our general policy. Users are required to enter user names and passwords for authentication purposes. Users are responsible for their own password maintenance.

U.S. Government Rights

This product includes CPT which is commercial technical data, which was developed exclusively at private expense by the American Medical Association, 330 North Wabash Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60611. The American Medical Association does not agree to license CPT to the Federal Government based on the license in FAR 52.227-14 (Data Rights - General) and DFARS 252.227-7015 (Technical Data - Commercial Items) or any other license provision. The American Medical Association reserves all rights to approve any license with any Federal agency.

Welcome to the Guideline Central Platform (“Website,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by International Guidelines Center, Inc. (dba Guideline Central) or "Guideline Central". By accessing or using this Website, our mobile apps, our API, our print or PDF Pocket Guides, or any related Guideline Central applications or services, you (“User” or “you”) agree to comply with and be legally bound by this End User Agreement (“Agreement”). If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease using the Website.

Grant of Access

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Intellectual Property Ownership

All content on the Website - including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, data, images, audio, video, software, databases, and compilations (“Content”) - is protected by all applicable intellectual property laws, an owned by the guidelines-authoring organizations, or by Guideline Central (or licensed by Guideline Central).

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The indexing, tagging, and overall Compilation of the Content, in addition to the Content itself, is proprietary and valuable.
  • Access does not grant you ownership or any license rights except as expressly stated herein.
  • Unauthorized use of the Content constitutes a material breach of this Agreement.
Prohibited Uses

Unless outlined in any separate Agreement or Statement of Work between you and Guideline Central, you agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, display, transmit, publish, or otherwise exploit any Content without prior written consent.
  • Use any robot, spider, scraper, crawler, automated tool, manual process, or similar mechanism to access, extract, copy, index, or harvest data or Content from the Website.
  • Frame, mirror, deep-link, or otherwise replicate or rehost Website Content.
  • Aggregate or compile Content for the purpose of LLM or machine learning use, or any other use, resale, redistribution, or competitive intelligence.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code, database structures, or proprietary models.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Website.

This also applies to individuals who have purchased a premium plan (subscription) and/or print or PDF of a given Pocket Guide

Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without notice, to:

  • Monitor usage activity on the Website;
  • Restrict, suspend, or terminate access for any actual or suspected violation of this Agreement;
  • Employ technological and legal measures to detect and prevent scraping, copying, or other unauthorized use.

Violations of this Agreement may result in civil and/or criminal liability under applicable law.

Monetary Damages and Liquidated Damages

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Unauthorized scraping, copying, or redistribution of the Content or Compilation causes substantial harm that is difficult to quantify.
  • As liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, you shall be liable to Guideline Central for the actual damages incurred by Guideline Central, including but limited to the loss of revenue from associated applicable API fees.
  • Each redistribution instance to a third party shall be treated as a separate violation.
  • These remedies are in addition to any other rights or remedies available at law or in equity.
Injunctive Relief

You acknowledge that unauthorized copying or scraping may cause irreparable harm to Guideline Central that cannot be adequately remedied by monetary damages alone.

Accordingly, Guideline Central shall be entitled to seek and obtain immediate injunctive relief, without posting bond, in addition to any other remedies available, to prevent or stop such violations.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Guideline Central, its officers, employees, and affiliates against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of this Agreement or any applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website at any time for any violation of this Agreement, without prior notice. Upon termination, you must immediately cease using and destroy any Content obtained from the Website.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Seminole County, Florida for the resolution of any disputes arising from or related to this Agreement.

Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement at any time by posting a revised version on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after such posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
